The wait is over as fans can watch UFC Vegas 37, a much-awaited light-heavyweight clash between Anthony ‘Lionheart’ Smith and Ryan Spann this Saturday September 18, 2021.

It means fans residing in Australia can watch this epic UFC fight on their screens via Kayo Sports on Sunday September 19, 2021 at 9.00 am AEST.

At present, ‘Lionheart’ Smith’s ranking is 6th in the UFC’s 205-pound division. On the other hand, Spann’s ranking is 11th in the UFC’s 205-pound division. A win for either Smith or Spann will help a great deal ranking-wise and both contenders have an equal chance to pursue for a title.

Anthony Smith is an experienced campaigner because he made his UFC debut in February 2016. Surprisingly, Smith defeated Leonardo Augusto Guimares in his first UFC match.

Unfortunately, Jon Jones defeated Smith in the UFC title fight in March 2019.  ‘Lionheart’ Smith has recently outclassed Jimmy Crute at UFC 261.

If we talk about Ryan Spann’s performance in the UFC arena, the star debuted during Dana White’s Contender series. Like Smith, Spann also outclassed his opponent Emiliano Sordi in his first UFC match.

Spann has won his most recent match by beating Misha Cirkunov in March 2021. As far as Smith’s winning ration is concerned,  54% of his wins have come from T/KO. Moreover, he has a reasonable 2.94 significant strikes in the UFC and absorbed 4.38 strikes in return.

This is an area where Smith needs to improve otherwise Spann can benefit from this weakness big time. This is because Spann has an impressive 3-inch alongside 3.55 significant strikes per minute.

Spann has won five (5) out of his six (6) fights in UFC till now. Furthermore, 58% of his wins resulted from submission and he also has a decisive accuracy of 41% alongside 1.72 takedowns per 15 minutes.
